Alive & Kicking
You'll have to excuse my bad updating. Grandma, I promise, I am still alive.
I spent the second half of my Spring break with my mom who came to visit. We did some mandatory sightseeing, the Coke museum and the aquarium, and also had some great food and went shopping. It was great having her here and showing here what my life's been like for the last eight months. I'm also excited to show my dad and brother the same things sometime in the future.
This past Saturday, it was finally time, I went to my first American Prom. I went out to dinner with Renee and Jessica first, and we all ate way too much haha, but it was delicious. After that we headed over to Turner Field (The current baseball field for the Atlanta Braves, but they're building a new one right) where we had our prom. The location was actually really cool. The event space we were in looked out over the baseball field.
Everyone was all fancy, which was amazing. There was so many pretty dresses everywhere. And on top of dresses there were a lot of high heels. Ew, haha. My feet were not happy about that. With the combination of the very draining soccer game we had the Friday before, and several hours of heels, my body was not happy when waking up on Sunday morning.
This week we had a game on Tuesday, in which I got the season's first yellow card (totally shouldn't have gotten one, but that's what they all say, right?).
Thursday, we had Honors Night at my school. The school hand out awards for different academical achievements. I actually got some awards so that was fun.
It's (unfortunately) starting to get really warm again, and also freezing at the same time. You see, when the temperature goes up, everyone turns their air conditioning on higher as well. So, outside you're drowning in sweat, and inside you need at least four blankets to survive. I shouldn't complain though, because I have been able to walk in shorts and t-shirt since February basically, that is amazing.
