Hej Igen
This last week I had a lot of things going on. Wednesday was my birthday (still can't accept the fact that I'm eighteen) and I also had a rehearsal for my concert the next day. So, Thursday we had a concert. I performed four times; two times with chorus (with a total of four songs), one dance with musical theatre, and then I had a solo. I had a blast. Singing my solo was definitely the most fun. I sang "Gabriellas sång", Swedish yes. If I get a hold of a good video I might share some of the performances with you later on, I had such a good time.
Early on Friday morning, Tom, Michael and I made our way to Kentucky. In the evening, when we had arrived at our hotel, we went to see a movie. We watched "The Intern", it was a pretty funny movie. Saturday morning we went to the so called Mammut Caves, which basically are huge caves in a very big cave system. They were very cool. My favorite part was probably how the cave was very narrow from time to time, so you had to walk sideways and tilt your head the right way. After our visit to the caves we continued our road trip to Nashville, Tennessee. We went to the main tourist attraction in the city, Broadway, with all the bars and cowboy boots. The had a lot of neon lights, and loud music. We ate at Hard Rock Cafe and looked out over the street.
On Sunday we went sightseeing through the city and also we went to the Oktober fest. A german beer festival basically. They had a lot of fun music and very good pretzels. Later that evening, we went to an Indian restaurant of one of the judges from Chopped (American cooking show). THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. I live Indian food, especially the naan bread. It was so darn good.
On Monday we went back home. I had a really good time on our trip. Nashville is such a cool city. The cowboys and the music, I love it. This weekend I've been exposed to both country, Southern rock and German polka.
Pictures will hopefully follow shortly.
Puss och Kram
