Greetings Friends and Family

Publicerad 2015-11-02 02:07:00 i Allmänt,

So, another week has passed and now it is already November. The weather is getting much cooler and the temperature on my heat blanket is rising hehe. People who said that it would be warm here: LIES. Okay so it's not that cold but it's cold. And my Americans keep telling me that I'm from Sweden, so I should be used to the cold. Hehe, no.

This Friday, my school held auditions for the school musical, so I did that. It was a lot of waiting, but I thought it went at least okay when I actually performed. You had to sing a song and then learn a short dance. We'll see if I make it. There's a small problem though, the musical will interfere with the soccer season, and playing soccer has been my plan even since before I got here. So, I don't know.

Yesterday (Saturday), it was Halloween! We started our day with breakfast at Chick-fil-A (I feel sorry for Sweden, we should get us some Chick-fil-A's). Then we picked up some AFS students, and went to Stone Mountain. It is literally a huge rock. It was really cool. We went up and looked at the great view and then we went down to the so called Indian pow wow. It was a market and performances showing the traditions of the Native Americans. That was pretty awesome as well. We later on dropped of the other students, and then went home.

So later in the afternoon, the kids started to come trick or treating, and they wERE ADORABLE. Yes, really cute. So, a big difference from Sweden is the age span of the trick or treaters. Here, the really small kids, like four to seven, came around with their parents, and then the older kids came. In Sweden, at least what I've noticed, you basically don't go trick or treating until you're old enough to go by yourself. Anyway, I got to hand out candy to everything from TOO CUTE cows, to dinosaurs, to all the Frozen characters <333 Later in the evening, we had a small Halloween party in our neighborhood, which I really enjoyed. Then, of course, I ate A LOT of candy, 'cause it's Halloween, right?

Today (Sunday), I went to church with Tom and Michael. I hadn't been in a really long time, so that was cool. I think choirs are awesome so that was cool.

Tomorrow's Monday, and a new week. We'll see what fun I can come up with. I hope you are all enjoying your time, wherever you are.
