Great Week
We had Monday off since in was Martin Luther Kind Day. I spent most of my day at home, but I also met up with a friend to play some soccer. We wanted to "warm up" for the tryouts. It was freezing outside though, so we didn't last for long, but it was nice having actually seen and kicked a soccer ball before the actual tryouts.
So on Tuesday and Wednesday, we had soccer tryouts. It went better than I expected, but I do not know yet if I'll make the team. Due to bad weather, the tryouts got cancelled on Thursday and Friday. Tomorrow (Monday) will be the final tryout day, and we will know tomorrow evening whether or not we made the team. Wish me good luck.
Also, because of the bad weather, we got out of school early on Friday. Here in Atlanta it's very rare that it snows, and they don't have the equipment to handle snow. So if there's just a possibility that it will snow, they will cancel school. I only had school until lunch and then we could go home. It was very nice. And you know what? It actually did snow. It was very little and it only stayed on the ground over the night, but at least we got some!
Yesterday (Saturday), I had a sleepover with my Swedish AFS friends. It's so nice to be able to just talk Swedish sometimes. And to be able to talk to people who are in the same situation as you. It was really nice. We talked about how it feels like it was only yesterday they were here the last time (but no, that was in fact around Halloween). Time flies when you're having fun.
