Thanksgiving
So as I told you before, I had this whole week off from school, which was really nice. I really needed a break.
On Wednesday Tom, Michael, Murray and I drove up to Spartanburg, South Carolina. We went to visit Michael's mom and some other family members to him. Some misunderstanding took place between Michael and his mom, resulting in that we had two Thanksgiving dinners; one on Wednesday and then one on Thursday. There was a lot of good food, and a lot of new food for me which was really fun. I really liked the dressing with cranberry sauce and the Mac & Cheese (even though the "fast food carton"-Mac & Cheese will always be my favorite. I'm sorry but it's delicious).
On Thanksgiving morning we ran an 8K race. It's a tradition to do that here so that you don't feel as guilty when eating all that food later. It was really nice to see the town and the sun together with the fall leaves was just beautiful. May be cheesy to say that, but it's true. I was smiling basically the whole time thanks to the sun.
After our second Thanksgiving dinner, on Thursday, Tom, Michael and I went to see a movie. We saw Bridge of Spies which was a drama inspired by true events during the Cold War. It was a really good movie, but we all agreed on that the beginning was a bit slow. Still, really good.
On Friday we then made our way home to Atlanta again. It was really nice seeing another part of the country and I am so grateful to get that opportunity.
I hope y'all had a great Thanksgiving (even though we don't celebrate it in Sweden).
Puss och Kram
